Welcome To The Study Site
Don’t rush off. There is no mistake in your being here, because I believe it was the invisible hand of God that guided you here. The Study Site is about sharing the wonderful love of Jesus.
John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
God Loves Us!
He wants us to be with Him. I have been blessed by His wonderful love and this is my attempt to pay it forward. If I can share this with even just one soul it will be worth it. Maybe it will be yours.
Luke 15:7
I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
Seek Him And Repent
Several years ago there was a joy in heaven for I was that sinner that came to repentance. How I ever lived apart from God I do not know. I am thankful now that he has pardoned me for my lack of knowledge. He is eager to extend that same pardon to anyone who diligently seeks him.
Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Study And Obey
I once believed that I was a good moral person and that as long as I was, I was “OK” with God. I was almost destroyed for lack of knowledge. If you believe as I once believed, please take a moment and look into God’s word, join me in some study, I implore you not to fall into this snare.
Matthew 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done may wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Luke 6:46
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Being a good moral person is noble but, as one delves a little deeper we find that God is looking for humility over nobility. Our idea of what a good moral person is and what God considers a good moral person are usually quite contrary. I know my idea wasn’t even close, I really had a warped sense of what moral was.
Matthew 23:12
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased, and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
James 4:10
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
Read Your Bible
This is just one of the many misconceptions I once had about being “OK” with God. As you can see by just the few passages above there is a lot more than morality involved. Obedience and knowledge quickly come to mind. How can you obey without knowledge? If you believe the Bible is the word of God, don’t reject the knowledge it so clearly imparts. For any serious study we must agree that the Bible is the word of God and the ONLY book approved by God.
Revelation 22:18
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
For those who think this applies only to the book of Revelation consider carefully the passages in Deuteronomy, and II Timothy.
Deuteronomy 4:2
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
II Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
"All" Is Pretty Conclusive
Please join me in learning more about God, and Jesus our savior at The Study Site. The Bible holds the answer to ALL of life’s troubles. An in depth Bible study will show this to be true. If we approach our Bible study with an open heart and mind, God’s plan will be revealed to us.
Luke 11:9
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
May God bless you in your studies,
